While making 1st&4Ever, a film that focused on an inner-city football team in Harlem, director Samein Priester experienced two life-changing events: the death of his mother, a single parent who raised him, and the adoption of his daughter. 1st&4Ever became a more personal film. Through his journey Samein attempts to answer the question "Can a man be a good father having learned how to be a man from a woman?"
